Malala's father was a teacher and made sure his daughter, just like her brother, could go to school. When Malala was ten years old, the Taliban took control of her region and destroyed all girls' schools. At the age of eleven, she publicly criticized the Taliban on Pakistani television, calling it a crime to deny girls education. As a result, she was shot and severely wounded. At the age of 17, she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. In her speech, she said: "I stand here for 66 million girls around the world who are being denied an education."
Little People, Big Dreams tells the inspiring life stories of great individuals: each of them, whether a philosopher, researcher, or athlete, achieved the unimaginable. It all began when they were still young, with big dreams.
